GENERAL RULES

DRIVERS MEETING ½ HOUR BEFORE PULL STARTS

  1. All classes require a minimum of three pullers
  2. NO ALCHOLIC BEVERAGES ON TRACK OR IN PIT AREA.  Any driver believed to be a safety hazard will be barred.  Driver is responsible for his pit crew.  Failure to observe rules will result in disqualification with no return of entry fee.
  3. Pulling or towing vehicles must be operated in safe manner at all times.
  4. All drivers must wear shirt, pants, and shoes in competition.
  5. Helmets and seat belts preferred.
  6. All weights must be securely fastened.  No weights permitted in cab, under hood, no loose ballast or bags.
  7. Vehicle must start and stop on signal of track judge, no use of rear view mirrors (pull considered over when forward motion stops).  Violators will be disqualified.
  8. All vehicles must weigh in and pass safety inspection.  A 2-1/2 lb. fire extinguisher is required in the cab of each vehicle. (Track judges reserve the right to re-weigh the pulling vehicle).
  9. No one is allowed on track or within 25 feet of track except track officials, judges and contestants.
  10. No pit crew members permitted on track except to start the vehicle and get it hooked to sled.
  11. No one other that driver permitted in vehicle while vehicle is pulling.
  12. Vehicle must start with tight hitch, no jerking or working of clutch after pull is started.  Any violation will be disqualified.
  13. Vehicle must remain in boundaries during pull.  Any attempt to move sled is considered measurable.
  14. Contestants must pull in assigned position and within three minutes of sled spotting. (Track officials to determine position change if necessary).
  15. Entries close at the start of class, unless due to traffic hold up.
  16. First puller is test puller with option to re-pull in third position.  All decisions to re-pull must be made before vehicle leaves track with track judge’s approval.  Any disqualification on first pull bars second attempt.  During pull off, only one attempt is allowed to make a measurable pull.
  17. Judge’s decision to be final in all classes.  Judges have option to re-pull all first pulls.
  18. Rain out: (1) During pull, any class not completed will be treated as a rain out.  If class must be cancelled after 2/3 of entries have pulled, purse for class must be paid.  (2) Pulling session can be called complete if ½ of advertised classes were complete.  We reserve the right to reschedule.
  19. If open top or roll bar, helmet with face shield required.  All vehicles must have windshield.
  20. Electric fuel pump allowed in all classes.  DOT stock tires are okay.  No over-sized dual tires with the exception of HOT DIESEL
  21. All vehicles while being hitched and unhitched will be in park (automatic) or neutral (standard) with drivers hands in the air.
  22. All vehicles will pull in only one class ONLY.
  23. Excessive loss of liquid on the track or loss of parts is caused for disqualification.
  24. Arguing and unsportsmanlike conduct toward officials is cause for disqualification of both drivers and vehicles for the day.
  25. All vehicles must have working rear suspension – minimum of 3 spring plys - ***Exception Outlaw class & Hot Diesel***
  26. Must be 16 years or older and have a valid driver’s license to enter any class.
  27. All pulling is at pullers own risk!
  28. No vertical hitches!!
  29. If there is a protest, it must be made by competitor of that class.  The protest must be made to track officials, not the announcer stand or registration.  Officials will decide if complaint is legitimate.  If the complaint is legitimate, the truck will be disqualified.
  30. Only pulling trucks in the field.  All trailers and pit crew vehicles must come in the main gate.  Pulling trucks may come in the pit gate.
  31. If you are not in line when your class is told to line up, you forfeit your pull.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

SHOWROOM TRUCKS

Small Block 412 C.I. and less                        6,000 lbs.
Big Block 413 C.I. and up                              6,500 lbs.

General Rules Apply

  1. Must supply owners’ card and insurance card when signing in. Inspection and license necessary.
  2. Two add ons or modifications are allowed. Add ons being aluminum intake, headers, Holley carburetors.
  3. Rough idle will be considered a modification.
  4. Vehicle should look and sound like an everyday vehicle.
  5. Air cleaners are mandatory. Battery must be secured to truck.
  6. Must pull off bumper or Reese hitch. Hitch point must be rear most part of vehicle.
  7. Hitch point can be no higher than frame.
  8. No heavy front bumpers or hanging weights. Snowplow rigging allowed.
  9. Weights can be put in bed but none in cab.
  10. No weights under hood. This will be checked before, during and after class is pulled.
  11. Posi-traction carriers allowed. No welded carriers or spools permitted in front rear or rear differential.
  12. Compression ratio should be no higher than year of truck being pulled.
  13. 10 inch wide rim allowed. 12-inch tread width.
  14. No nitrous oxide or racing fuel.
  15. No suspension add-ons, helper springs or air bags. Stock springs and overloads only.
  16. Full travel traction bars allowed.
  17. No weight bar brackets permitted.
  18. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit his points for that class.
  19. Hook height 26 inches. Hook point to center of axle should not be less than 27% of wheel base.
  20. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

2-WHEEL DRIVE

General Rules Apply

  1. Hitch can be no higher than 30".
  2. Hitch can be no longer than 30% of wheel base.
  3. Hitch can be no shorter than 27% of wheel base.
  4. Any engine/transmission combination.
  5. No differential bigger than 11 1/2 dia. ring gear.
  6. 7,500 lb. weight limit.
  7. Chassis being used can be no heavier than 1/2 ton.
  8. No tube chassis-chassis being used must have come off of assembly line.
  9. No add on weights ahead of the back of cab.
  10. Solid suspension in the rear.
  11. Front suspension must use oem parts.
  12. Straight front axle permitted.
  13. Front suspension must be able to move one direction up or down.
  14. Any tire and wheel combination. Duals, Tractor type tires permitted.
  15. Transfer cases permitted-dual transfers permitted.
  16. Cubic inch limit 480 CI.

General Rules Apply

  1. Suspension should have at least 2” of travel before being solid.
  2. Weights not more than 20” from grill.
  3. No more than 4 engine modifications allowed
  4. No aluminum headers
  5. No roller rockers
  6. Dual plane intake only.
  7. Aftermarket heads permitted
  8. 10” wide rim allowed (no wider than)
  9. Hook height 26 inches. Hook point to center of axle should not be less than 27% of wheel base.
  10. D.O.T. tires only.
  11. Pump gas only.
  12. Single carb only
  13. No dominator carbs
  14. Traction bars permitted
  15. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

HIGH OUTPUT

Small Block 435 C.I. and less                        6,500 lbs.
Big Block 440 C.I. and up                              6,500 lbs.

General Rules Apply

  1. No frame alterations. Frame and body must be same year and make.
  2. Limit to one 4 barrel carburetor. High rise manifold allowed. No tunnel rams.
  3. Must have fan shroud.
  4. Headers allowed.
  5. Pulling hitch permitted.
  6. Suspension blocking allowed. No solid suspension. Must have working suspension, shackles and hangers.
  7. Internal engine changes permitted.
  8. Posi or welded front ends allowed.
  9. Hook height 26 inches. Hook point to center of axle should not be less than 27% of wheel base.
  10. Must be street legal.
  11. No wider than 10 inch rims. Tread width not to exceed 12.5 inches, and 35 inches high.
  12. Weight bracket allowed. Weights can be no further than 60 inches from center of front axle.
  13.  D.O.T. tires only. Cut tires allowed.
  14. No wrangler type tires, bar tires or stock car tires.
  15. Drive shaft loops and kill switches required.
  16. Any trucks that can’t make High Output guidelines will pull in the Outlaw Class.
  17. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit their pull.
  18. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

STREET DIESEL

General Rules Apply

  1. A technical safety inspection required before pull.
  2. Must be state licensed and inspected and insurance card.
  3. Tires must be DOT tire. (NO CUT TIRES) 
  4. Duals allowed no oversized duals. Duals allowed on dually trucks only.
  5. Turbo, stock appearing no swapping between makes.
  6. NO drugs or water injection #2 fuel only.
  7. NO front weights or heavy front bumpers.
  8. Factory snow plow brackets or winch brackets permitted. (NO winch allowed).
  9. No weight bar brackets.
  10. Weights in bed only.
  11. No weights in cab.
  12. No frame or suspension modifications.
  13. No suspension add ons, air bags or helper springs.
  14. Exhaust should exit rear of truck or vertical stacks behind cab.
  15. Reese style hitch, or bumper pulling hitches.
  16. No vertical hitches. 3.5 twisted clevis or equivalent opening to allow sled hook. 26” hitch height.
  17. No laptops allowed.
  18. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit their pull.
  19. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

HOT STREET DIESEL

General Rules Apply

  1. A technical safety inspection required before pull.
  2. Must be state licensed and inspected and have an insurance card.
  3. Electronic tuners allowed.  NO lap tops or data loggers allowed.
  4. Tires must be DOT 35-12.50 limit.
  5. Duals allowed. No oversized dual tires.
  6. 2.6 turbo only.
  7. Fuel - nothing allowed other than #2 fuel only and water/meth.
  8. Hanging front weights allowed.
  9. Weights will be no more than 60” from center of front diff.
  10. No weights in cab.
  11. Suspension traction bars, blocks, straps, airbags etc. must have 2” travel.
  12. No solid suspension, removable or adjustable stops allowed.
  13. Exhaust cannot exit toward spectators. Exhaust must exit to rear of truck or  vertical stacks behind cab any diameter.
  14. Reese style hitch, no trick hitches, no vertical hitches, 3.5 twisted clevis or equivalent opening to allow sled hook. 26” hitch height.
  15. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit their pull.
  16. Fire extinguisher required in cab.
  17. Track width of rear tires must not exceed 96”
  18. Exposed u-joints must be shielded (u-joints visible from side of truck).
  19. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

OPEN DIESEL

General Rules Apply

  1. A technical safety inspection required before pull.
  2. Fire Extinguisher required in cab.
  3. Helmets, seat belts, fire suits required.
  4. Safety blanket on automatic transmissions.
  5. Blow-proof bell housing on standard transmissions turning more than 4500 rpms.  SFI approved flywheel/clutch on standard transmissions.
  6. Crank shaft damper shield required unless a SFI damper is used.
  7. Kill switch required and/or air shut off.
  8. Drive shaft loops required.
  9. U-joint guards required.
  10. All tuners, lap tops, data loggers allowed.
  11. Turbo unlimited single or 3.2 atmosphere twin.
  12. Hanging weights allowed.
  13. Weights will be no more than 60” from center of front differential.
  14. Solid suspension allowed.
  15. Exhaust anything vertical.
  16. Hitch height 26”.
  17. Pulling hitches allowed.
  18. No vertical hitches allowed.
  19. Fuel: Diesel, Nitrous, Propane, water/meth.
  20. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit their pull.
  21. Track width of rear tires must not exceed 102”.
  22. Pulling tires and cut tires allowed.
  23. Must have 2 3/8” bolts in a cross pattern as close to the turbocharger exhaust outlet as possible.
  24. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!

OUTLAW CLASS

General Rules Apply

  1. A technical safety inspection is required before pull.
  2. Drive shaft loops one per shaft (3).
  3. U-joint guards are required on each U-joint.
  4. Kill switch required.
  5. Safety blanket on automatic transmissions.
  6. Blow-proof bell housing on standard transmissions.
  7. Crank damper shield required unless a S.F.I. approved damper is used.
  8. Fire extinguisher required in cab.
  9. Nitrous oxide permitted.
  10.  Hook height and hitch: 26 inches. Hook point to center of axle should not be less than 27% of wheel base. Pulling hitches are permitted.
  11. Helmets, seatbelts, fire suits required.
  12. Driver who fails to hold position in line will forfeit their pull.
  13. All decisions of officials are FINAL!!!
